Drawing upon these issues within the industry, we were able to take new ways of thinking and working, and are proud to announce that in October 2019, we launched a revolutionary solution for bespoke and scalable motor claims management - introducing, Cobalt, brought to the market by Coplus.

How does Cobalt work?

We have re-engineered the process from first claims notification to enable us to make informed decisions about the best and correct action for the policyholder, immediately. Cobalt enables effective management of both vehicle damage and injury claims.

Our powerful tools allow us to assess personal injury, letting us guide and support the judgement of a claims handler to find the best claims track for recovery whilst in call. This helps us to provide a fast and efficient service which is key to creating an effective, streamlined customer journey.

By combining data science, desktop engineering and expert insight during first contact, the extent of vehicle damage is understood in real-time and avoids total losses reaching the repair network.

Using machine learning and image capture from the policyholder to understand the vehicle damage, we ensure that vehicles are quickly allocated to the correct repair track. In accident damage, 85% of claims are deployed into the correct track within the first call, with the remainder allocated within an hour following an expert desktop assessment.

Cobalt works as a series of modules, with different services that can be accessed depending on your specific requirements and scaled to meet the needs of a business. These include:
